Art is all around us. Everywhere we look art has played a role in making our lives more colorful, entertaining, and inspiring. At MVAC, we celebrate art and the power it has to move a community. We do this through events at the MVAC ART Gallery and throuhgout Marshall County. Whether it be an art exhibit or a free concert, we are always striving to make art accessible to the public.

EXHIBITS
MVAC hosts solo and group exhibits at the MVAC Gallery, the Marshall County Courthouse, and the Lieutenant Governor's offi ޭ 怀 ce in Montgomery. Receptions open to the public are held for each MVAC Gallery exhibit. These exhibits showcase Marshall County artists, MVAC members, and a few other area artists.
CHILDREN’S ART INITIATIVE
The public is invited to donate new or gently used art supplies at the Gallery during exhibits and at concerts. These supplies are redistributed to Mar- shall County agencies who work with children such as the Child Advocacy Center, Court-Appointed Juvenile Advocates (CAJA), Crain Court Youth Center, and Child Development Center. MVAC also hosts exhibits in February and December featuring the artwork from workshops at the Crain Court Youth Center and Child Advocacy Center and the county-wide Children's Christmas Card contest for children K-5 grades.
CONCERTS
MVAC hosts free concert series each spring and fall in Errol Allan Park in Guntersville and a 4th of July concert at the Jeff Cook stage of Civitan Park in Guntersville, entertaining over 2,000 people each year and featuring Northeast Alabama musicians.
WORKSHOPS
Art Uncorked workshops offer adults a fun way to learn a new art skill and socialize. Art Unleashed workshops give kids a chance to enjoy art crafts.

Six concerts are held at Errol Allan Park in downtown Guntersville in April and May.
Attendance ranges from 150 to 300 people at each concert, all clus- tered in the heart of the Arts & Entertainment District.

MVAC hosts a dozen or more art exhibits and artist receptions each year. These exhibits include both area solo artists and artist groups who create artwork in a wide variety of medi- ums.
MVAC conducts adult art workshops through- out the year in various locations within the county. Area artists lead the participants in creating art in different mediums while enjoying food, drink (BYOB), and friends.

MVAC conducts arts and crafts children workshops led by area artists. Held at the MVAC Gallery, kids always leave with smiles on their faces and pride for their unique pieces of artworks.
The annual Children's Christmas Card Contest recognizes our young artists (K-5th grade) with cash awards, art supplies, and an exhibit. Entries from schools throughout the county are displayed at the MVAC
Gallery during December, and the awards ceremony opens the Guntersville Downtown Merchants' "A Night Before Christmas" event.
MVAC's Holiday Art Mart showcases art from local artists and craftsmen and shares the MVAC Gallery with the Christmas Card Contest exhibit. Art makes truly unique Christmas presents for everyone on your gift list. Purchases can be made at a preview reception and throughout December.
MVAC conducts art workshops for children at Crain Court and Child Advocacy Center with themes such as photogra- phy, collage, mask paint- ing, and Black History Month. The art is displayed at the MVAC Gallery in February, and the children enjoy a pizza reception.
